FIS' Virtus Credit Solutions provides integrated solutions for portfolio administration and management with a focus on the credit markets. FIS Capital Markets, Trading and Asset Services is seeking an experienced, hands-on Lead Software Architect with strong skills to join our global development team to work on the next generation of Virtus Front and Middle Office offerings. The individual will thrive by being a team-oriented player in a highly collaborative environment using agile development processes. The candidate must be a self-starter who is always open to optimizing existing development practices through new technologies, patterns, and processes. What you will be doing: Work closely with Engineering Management, Engineering teams, Product Owners, Services and Operations teams to architect, design and develop high quality solutions in alignment with business and technical strategies. End-to-end software architecture, design and development of complex, distributed, high performance, data intensive systems. Provides expertise to global development team, coaching and mentoring software engineers to have a positive impact on product development, providing guidance at the design and code level to support engineers. Participate in the agile (Scrum and SAFe) process throughout the SDLC to design and develop new software or make modifications to existing complex software applications using disciplined processes, adhering to industry standards and best practices. Take part in reviews of work, e.g. design and code reviews, and demonstrate software to all stakeholders. Share knowledge and provide technical guidance to other team members within areas of expertise. Contribute to owning and delivering processes that drive engineering quality and meet our engineering SLAs. Contribute to troubleshooting and providing guidance to resolution of complex production issues. Actively participate in modernization and cloud transformation journey with product development team, internal and external partners (Microsoft, AWS, Snowflake etc.) What you bring: 10+ years overall IT work experience and 5+ yrs experience in Architecture. Ability to architect, design and deliver software that can scale elastically on the cloud (Azure). Experience with Azure Cloud. Expert knowledge of Object Orient Patterns and Design, data structures and algorithms, parallel and distributed computing, SoA and multi-tier architectures. Understands testing at every stage of development. Expert development experience throughout the SDLC using Microsoft .Net/C# Solid experience with relational and NoSQL database development, including logical design, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and performance tuning. Microsoft SQL Server experience is needed. Experience with Data Warehousing. Snowflake experience is required. Experience with ETL tools, data transfer and data delivery. Deep knowledge of DevOps toolchain and CI/CD pipelines (BitBucket, Harness, Azure DevOps, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub Enterprise) Understanding of networking and security. Experience with OCR, Machine Learning and AI models. Experience with web UI architecture and development (HTML5, React, Angular). Experience with workflow, reporting and BI tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, PowerBI) Demonstrated expertise performance tuning applications from top to bottom, including profiling of applications. Strong logical and analytical skills, with the ability to creatively troubleshoot and resolve challenging problems. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to effectively express ideas, engage in complex discussions and collaborate with a wide range of colleagues. Ability to communicate with precision while being concise. Proactive, delivery-oriented team player who takes responsibility for the team's success Experience in the banking or financial services industries with knowledge of financial instruments in the credit space. Candidate must demonstrate interest in learning and applying financial concepts. Added bonus if you have: React experience is preferred. Experience with Micro Frontends is preferred. TOGAF and Azure Cloud certifications are a plus. Knowledge of FIS products and services a plus but not required Knowledge of the Financial Industry welcome. Current and future sponsorship are not available for this position. FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $170,550.00 - $286,520.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
