As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting ophthalmologists and other eye care professionals in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of various eye conditions. You will work in a state-of-the-art facility and collaborate closely with our eye care team to ensure the best possible patient experience. What you will do: Performing preliminary eye examinations and assessments, including measuring visual acuity, intraocular pressure, pupil reactions, and visual field testing. Obtaining detailed patient medical history, including eye-related complaints, medications, and relevant health information. Administering specialized ophthalmic tests and procedures such as tonometry, keratometry, optical coherence tomography (OCT), fundus photography, and pachymetry. Assisting ophthalmologists during eye examinations, surgeries, and laser treatments, ensuring patients are comfortable and well-informed about the procedure. Educating patients on eye care procedures, pre-operative and post-operative instructions, and the proper use and care of contact lenses or eyeglasses. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting assessments, test results, and treatment plans in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines. Performing routine maintenance on ophthalmic equipment and ensure they are in proper working order. Assisting in the sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment for eye surgeries. Collaborating effectively with ophthalmologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive eye care services. What you will need:
