Senior Infrastructure Engineer
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Greenlite, you'll own the foundation that lets us deploy secure, compliant AI systems at major financial institutions. You'll architect, automate, and harden our on-premises and cloud environments and pipelines to meet the strictest regulatory and performance requirementsand mentor others as we scale. What You'll Do
Lead Reliability & Scalability Drive incident response for high-severity outages and capacity crunchesbring the hyperscale "battle scars." Proactively model growth ("in two months we'll need X TPS") and implement solutions to sustain low-latency AI inference at scale.
Architect & Automate Secure Infrastructure Champion Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM): design VPCs, subnets, IAM policies, private-cloud/air-gapped deploymentsand codify every change in Git.
Build Enterprise-Grade CI/CD & Observability Define and evolve robust CI/CD frameworks with embedded security/compliance gates. Implement full-spectrum observability (metrics, tracing, logs) and ensure rapid, data-driven incident resolution.
Partner Externally & Mentor Internally Lead customer engagements for on-prem and private-cloud roll-outs at banks and financial institutions. Share your domain expertise by shaping our interview process, conducting tech deep-dives, and coaching mid-level engineers.
Elevate Our Hiring & Onboarding Design and execute a best-in-class infra interview loop: real-world scaling puzzles, IaC challenges, post-mortem case studies. Mentor new hires through a standardized ramp plan.
Minimum Requirements
Ability to work on-site, 5 days per week in San Francisco
8+ years in infrastructure engineering or DevOps at high-growth or hyperscale companies
Proven track record of architecting and operating AWS (preferred), GCP, or Azure in production at enterprise scale
"Battle scars" from leading outages, capacity events, and large-scale incident reviews
Deep expertise in IaC tooling (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM) and GitOps workflows
Production experience with Docker & Kubernetes, and building compliance-aware CI/CD pipelines
Strong programming skills in Python; familiarity with TypeScript a plus
Solid grasp of security and regulatory requirements for financial services
Bonus: direct experience with private-cloud or on-prem deployments for regulated customers
