Statistician, Tax (Quantitative Economics and Statistics - QUEST) (Manager) (Multiple Positions)

Provide focused quantitative statistical advisory services to private sector clients for the purposes of establishing federal, state and international tax positions, support regulatory compliance, enhance internal controls and business processes, and provide audit and litigation support. Use knowledge of tax and other regulatory requirements along with sophisticated statistical techniques to perform business research, statistical analysis, modeling and data analytics. Conduct statistical sampling based studies requiring complex sample design, selection and extrapolation of data according to established federal, state and other regulatory guidelines by way of design and model-based methods. Evaluation and critique of statistical methods developed by other entities for our audit clients. Convey statistical findings and methods to non-statisticians and handle direct coordination with internal and external clients on project needs. Assist in the development of the practice including the development and implementation of quantitative tools and processes. Oversee sample design and estimation work and provide technical guidance to project staff. Lead and direct teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds by providing constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Manage risk in the delivery of quality client services. Generate and manage new business opportunities. Full time employment, Monday

Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am

5:30 pm. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience in quantitative analysis. Alternatively, will accept a Masters degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, and 5 years of related work experience in quantitative analysis. Alternatively, will accept a PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience in quantitative analysis. Must have 3 years of experience with statistical sampling and estimation in a business environment. Must have 3 years of experience with statistical programming in SAS and R, and database management.
