Position Summary Rhode is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Inventory Accountant to manage and improve all aspects of inventory accounting. This role plays a critical part in analyzing system-to-3PL variances, managing inventory reserves, and leading account reconciliations. You'll also help design and execute monthly financial and operational reporting, and conduct detailed inventory and cost analysis to ensure accurate and timely financials. This is a high-impact position that collaborates cross-functionally with our Operations, Finance and Accounting, and offers the opportunity to contribute to key process improvements as we scale. Key Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with Operations and Accounting teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory balances across systems; proactively identify and address variances. Oversee and support the quarterly cycle count process; reconcile inventory balances between internal systems and 3PLs. Investigate discrepancies and partner with Operations to resolve. Prepare quarterly excess and obsolescence inventory analyses and recommend reserve adjustments based on findings. Perform and/or review month-end journal entries and account reconciliations for all inventory-related accounts, including: Prepaid inventory Inventory in transit Inventory received not billed Landed cost accruals COGS Purchase price variances Inventory adjustments Serve as the primary inventory contact for external audits, preparing documentation and collaborating with both auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure audit readiness and compliance. Conduct in-depth inventory, cost, and margin analyses, identifying trends and providing actionable insights to management. Support and enhance internal controls over inventory accounting processes; assist in documenting and improving procedures. Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses as requested by leadership. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 35+ years of hands-on inventory accounting experience; prior audit experience is a plus. Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and inventory valuation methodologies. Advanced Excel skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. ERP experience required; NetSuite strongly preferred. CPA designation preferred. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
