Quality Technician

The Quality Technician is a key contributor to ensuring our products meet internal and customer quality standards. This hands-on role focuses on incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities on the production floor. The technician will utilize precision measurement tools and visual inspection methods to evaluate parts, identify nonconformities, and collaborate with operations and engineering teams to ensure the timely and effective resolution of quality issues. The role requires a strong understanding of quality systems, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. The Quality Technician's responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: Perform inspections at various stages of the production process (incoming, in-process, final), using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision instruments. Verify part conformance to print specifications, control plans, and inspection criteria. Identify and clearly communicate nonconforming conditions; initiate and support containment, tagging, and nonconformance reporting. Accurately document inspection results and maintain traceable records in accordance with company and regulatory standards, including:

Process capability studies Statistical process control First article and sample submission reviews

Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with internal and external standards. Support and promote quality awareness and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization. Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and management teams to resolve quality issues. Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action efforts by providing detailed feedback, inspection results, and process observations. Participate in audits (internal and external) as required. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Education Requirements: 2 years of experience in quality inspection or assurance role, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO 9000, QS 9000). General PC skills (e.g. Microsoft, ERP). Skilled in the use of monitoring and measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision tools. Experience reading blueprints. Familiarity with industry quality practices including SPC (Statistical Process Control), APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process). Experience calibrating, maintaining, and verifying the accuracy of inspection equipment and gauges. Strong math skills, excellent organizational abilities, and keen attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in cross-functional teams. Self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
