Devereux Florida provides programs and services for adolescents and adults who face significant emotional, behavioral, and intellectual/developmental challenges. With locations in Winter Park, Orlando, and Casselberry, this position provides an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys caring for others and has the ability to be patient and deal with challenging behaviors. The primary functions include: Supporting a therapeutic environment, while ensuring the safety and well-being of the individuals we serve. Conducting daily living activities, including health management, cooking, cleaning, recreation, and hygiene assistance (some individuals require assistance with bathing, toileting, and dressing) Following and implementing behavioral support plans Documenting shift reports, incident reports, and individual progress notes. Position Details: Salary: Starts at $17.00 - $20.75 / hour PLUS additional compensation: Shift differential (up to $2.00 / hour), Relevant experience in field (up to $2.00 / hour), Credit for higher education ($.48/hr for Bachelors degree; $.72 / hr for Masters degree). Shifts: Currently hiring for 2nd (2:00pm to 10:00pm) and 3rd shift (10:00pm - 9:00am). One weekend day is required for employment. Benefits and Rewards Paid time off

Education: High school diploma or GED required Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, Social Work and experience in the field is preferred Experience: Certified Nursing Assistant with experience working with IDD, Mental Health and/or dually diagnosed populations preferred Schedule: Must be able to complete a two-week (Monday - Friday) new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm each day. Orientation is held in Orlando. Must be able to work one day on the weekend. Must be able to work holidays. Other Requirements: Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test, Physical, and TB Test. Valid driver's license Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Must be able to drive a car and a passenger van (which holds up to 15 passengers).
