This position is for 7330 Market Str. in Wilmington, NC Responsibilities

The ReStore Donation Handler is responsible for taking donations from donors and placing them in the warehouse. They will test, clean, and help maintain the warehouse and store items. Reporting to the Store Manager, the Donation Handler works with other staff members to ensure the warehouse and ReStore operates efficiently. This job description should not be construed to imply that the requirements listed are the exclusive standards of the position. The ReStore Manager reserves the right to assign or delegate other tasks as necessary. Duties

Customer Service Greet donors and assist them with loading and unloading. Issue donation receipts. Assist buyers with loading of their purchases. Clean all furniture that is donated. Insure that furniture hits the sales floor in a timely fashion. Keep the drop-off area and warehouse clean, safe, and organized. Keep aisles clear and safe. Help keep shelves stocked and organized. Test all Electrical merchandise Test all dishwashers, washer machines, and refrigerators Clean and price merchandise at a minimum of 50% off retail

may require research to ensure adequate and competitive pricing Help answer phones Run a register when needed. Any other assignment deemed necessary by ReStore management. Requirements

Be committed to the Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity's mission. Experience moving furniture helpful, but not required Must be able to lift 75+ lbs., stand, squat, bend, and climb on a consistent basis Must be a High School graduate or higher. Excellent customer service skills and ability to operate a cash register Ability to relate to people with diverse backgrounds. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and with other staff and volunteers. Ability to pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening test Benefits Offered
