The position of Foreman has been established to enhance the profitability of the business by ensuring that workers, equipment, and materials are used properly at a jobsite to maximize productivity and maintain schedules. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Ensure that Baker Electric's interpretation of the project's specifications and job drawings are being executed. Confirm compliance with all contract documents and prevailing building codes. Review contract drawings, specifications and submittals when the job is assigned. Plan construction work activities to support schedule and with minimal interferences from other trades, and make the most efficient and uniform use of manpower, tools and equipment throughout the job. Manage and train manpower at the jobsite. Maintain dated Contractors Daily Log book documenting jobsite information i.e. delays, weather condition, size of crews, etc. Ensure all material installation methods are being completed on schedule with high standards of quality by inspecting work in progress. Strategically plan major equipment/material order quantities and delivery time frames that coincide with production schedules and project requirements. Responsible for all Company tools on foreman's projects. Complete RFIs (Request for Information) properly and when needed and forward to Project Manager. Promote, and maintain a cooperative relationship with all company personnel, clients and other jobsite contacts. Provide job progress report to the Superintendent as required. Enforce company policy and procedures in regards to workmanship standards, safety and training. Maintain training/certifications. Education, Skill, Experience
Successful completion of I.B.E.W. Apprenticeship or equivalent level of experience. Five years of journeyman electrician experience or demonstrated capability.
