The director is responsible for planning, implementation, testing, maintenance, and repair of biomedical, digital imaging, operative equipment, and other patient care equipment across the entire health system. They develop and implement plans, policies, and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operation and management of equipment. In collaboration with both business and other digital services leadership, they assure alignment of these platforms with the strategy and priorities of the organization. The director assures the reliable and cost-efficient operation of biomedical services by driving continuous improvement and rationalization of the services they are accountable for. They understand and manage the total cost of ownership for these services. They build a high-performing team through hiring, managing, and coaching talent. They manage vendor and consultant relationships as necessary for their area of responsibility. They establish and maintain strong relationships with the customers for their area of responsibility. As a member of the digital services senior leadership team, the director works in collaboration with other leaders to represent digital services to the organization and advocate for digital transformation. The ideal candidate for the DS Director of Diagnostic Imaging Support and Biomed role is a seasoned leader with experience in medical equipment service management. They possess a strong technical background and demonstrate exceptional operational and business management skills. This individual excels at leading in-house imaging service teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving performance through KPIs and SLAs. They are a strategic communicator who can effectively liaise between field teams, customers, and corporate leadership, while also managing escalations and fostering continuous improvement. A successful candidate is also highly organized, financially savvy, and comfortable with travel and flexible scheduling to support regional operations. Essential Functions

Plans, organizes, directs the implementation, testing, maintenance, and repair of biomedical, digital imaging, operative equipment, and other patient care equipment across the entire health system. Responsible for the cultivation of top talent, as well as their hiring, management, and succession within the organization. Selects, trains, develops, and evaluates team members and initiates personnel actions in accordance with policies and organization philosophy. Maintains a diverse and inclusive team environment that produces unity, enabling strong relationships with customers and other collaborating roles. Develops and enforces policies and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operation and management of biomedical equipment. Develops, implements, and maintains the expense and capital budget assigned to the area(s) of responsibility. Creates an environment that stimulates innovation and learning. Leads or participates in committees that develop company policies and procedures related to ensuring reliability of equipment, comfort, and safety of facilities. Develops and/or revises policies and procedures to address specific equipment-related situations. Participates in developing methods to respond to requests for maintenance and repair, and respond to emergency situations. Regularly participates in meetings, providing feedback to Corewell Health and client regarding status of maintenance and repair projects, including scheduling and financial updates. Acts as liaison on behalf of client regarding equipment problem solving, customer service, and scheduling of resources. Develops, requests, and evaluates bid specifications, recommends contractor and vendor selections. Negotiates fees, contract language, and contractual changes. Ensures that work is performed as planned, within scope and budget requirements. Qualifications

Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field Preferred Master's Degree MHSA, MPH, MBA or related field 10 years of relevant experience in the field of biomedical engineering, digital services, information technology or other related discipline required 5 years of relevant experience in people/project/technical leadership preferred Physical Demands
