The Account Manager is responsible for Arch's visibility and results of lender client relationships in an assigned geographical territory. They develop long-term relationships, at the corporate and branch level, and deliver value added credit enhancement solutions. This role works closely with the respective DVP or RVP on strategy, new customer opportunities, and call patterns for the territory. This role can sit remotely in Michigan, but requires extensive travel throughout the state, sometimes with 2-3 overnights in a week. Essential Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Meet with lender customers to promote Arch US Mortgage Insurance (MI)'s products to expand and sell new business. Establish, build and maintain relationships with senior level executives and MI decision influencers. Develop, implement, and maintain account plans, goals, and home office summaries in SalesForce.com (SFDC). Utilize SFDC for monthly planning, daily call reporting, and account summary highlights. Keep current on both national and local industry trends and contribute to the mortgage industry through networking, industry events, and local/state board participation. Represent Arch at client meetings, regional and state conferences, trade shows, and other events to promote Arch's products and broaden exposure within the mortgage industry. Support ancillary or adjacent product offerings by Arch Mortgage Global Group. If requested, facilitate any quality leads to Arch Insurance. Collaborate with internal departments to deliver superior customer service and response time ensuring "ease of use" and customer loyalty. Knowledge & Skills

Ability to develop, implement and monitor account specific strategies and sales tactics to achieve NIW growth objectives. Proficient understanding of the mortgage industry and basic GSE requirements for mortgage insurance. Ability to interact with and deliver presentations to senior level decision makers, vendors, and clients in a professional manner. Proficient understanding of the mortgage originations/manufacturing process through the delivery and servicing of a closed loan. Proficient understanding of the mortgage technology stack, including POS, PPE, and LOS systems and how these technology tools drive lender behavior and affect lender profitability. Proficient understanding of mortgage credit risk and how loan attributes and borrower credit affect loan performance. Education & Experience

Required knowledge & skills would typically be acquired through a Bachelor's degree and five years of housing finance or mortgage insurance experience, or equivalent combination of education and housing finance or mortgage insurance experience. Working Conditions/Environment & Physical Demands

Remote based employment. 75-85% travel - Expectations include daily sales calls, lender meetings, and conferences. Some travel may be necessary over weekends if conferences dictate. Overnight travel to cover entire territory is likely.
