Search Solution Group is seeking a
Project Manager
on behalf of our client, a nationwide turnkey service provider specializing in design-build solutions for industrial and food processing facilities. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of project execution, from design management and procurement through construction and final closeout. The ideal candidate brings expertise in food processing or industrial manufacturing projects and is comfortable leading cross-functional teams across multiple job sites.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee total project delivery, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality results
Travel frequently to job sites across the U.S.
Manage all phases of project execution including procurement, subcontractor management, change orders, safety compliance, and client communication
Maintain and monitor project financials: budgets, pay applications, invoices, and cost analysis reporting to senior management
Create and maintain project schedules for procurement and construction, including 2-week subcontractor look-aheads and milestone tracking
Lead document control and distribution including drawings, RFIs, and revisions
Enforce quality control protocols and manage punch list and project closeout processes
Coordinate design communication, manage contracts with design consultants, and ensure preconstruction proposals are aligned with client expectations
Conduct preconstruction activities including bid solicitation, subcontractor vetting, quantity take-offs, and scope development
Promote a culture of safety, enforce guidelines, and model safe behavior on-site
Facilitate post-project reviews and lead a "Lessons Learned" session with the team
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements include: Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Experience: 5+ years of experience in a project management or similar role
3+ years of experience managing food processing, cold storage, or industrial manufacturing projects
Proven success managing remote or multi-site construction efforts
Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, and Procore
Certifications: OSHA certification and other site safety training preferred
Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction project management practices
Familiarity with permitting processes, design coordination, and industrial construction standards
Key Competencies: Leadership and decision-making under pressure
Budgeting and financial oversight
Attention to detail and quality control
Collaborative mindset and effective team management
Adaptability in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
