Sports Coordinator
The Sports Coordinator is responsible for enhancing the i9 Sports Experience for players and coaches. The Sports Coordinator will need to build relationships with players, parents, and coaches while making sure that the instructional aspects of the i9 Sports Experience are delivered. Observing, assessing, and assisting our coaches is paramount. The position entails hands-on involvement with practices and games among all age groups and skill levels. i9 Sports is the nation's first and largest youth sports league franchise business in the United States with over 1 million registrations in more than 500 communities from New York to Hawaii. Established in 2003 by Frank Fiume on the principle that the number one reason kids play organized sports is to have fun, not to become the next draft pick. i9 Sports offers youth sports leagues, camps, and clinics for kids ages 3-17 in today's most popular sports such as flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and baseball. With our focus on fun, safety, convenience, and good sportsmanship, i9 Sports is reinventing the youth sports experience for families across the country. It's the way youth sports should be. Responsibilities include empowering volunteer coaches to lead practice sessions focusing on fundamentals, skill development, and fun; teaching and demonstrating core concepts including sportsmanship values; supervising the overall operation of designated sport on game day; consistently demonstrating a positive attitude and superior customer service skills; and setting up and breaking down of field (goals, field outline, cones, practice balls, corner flags). Qualifications include excellent communication skills, sport-specific coaching experience and knowledge, a highly motivated self-starter who can work independently and solve problems, awareness and ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players, a positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships, availability to work Saturdays and/or for the full duration of the season (~7 weeks), reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a national criminal background check. Compensation: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour.
