General Summary This position processes and funds consumer indirect loans originated through Greenwood Credit Union's dealership network. Responsibilities include reviewing loan applications, verifying documentation, coordinating funding, and performing related back-office tasks in compliance with Credit Union policies, procedures, and all applicable legal and regulatory guidelines. Essential Functions The essential functions of this position may include, but are not limited to: Perform data entry of application information into the loan origination system for underwriting & Review loan documentation from dealerships against policy requirements and pre-funding checklist, and ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance to all lending regulations while implementing fraud detection Identify contract package discrepancies; communicate errors to dealership for swift resolution; and identify and refer possible fraudulent cases for supervisory Maintain open line of positive communication with dealer base to ensure timely follow through on pending/approved applications and problem Disperse funds for accepted loan contracts, ensuring prompt and accurate payment to Provide professional, courteous, and knowledgeable loan related member service, including payoff inquiries, documentation requests and various other day to day Assist with the tracking and follow up of automobile titles for loan collateral as Initiate new Share and Loan accounts within CORE operating Performs variety of other duties relating to the accurate and timely processing of indirect loans and loan payoffs, management reporting and trend Answer phone, emails and message inquiries from Indirect lending queues. Perform other duties as assigned; Participate in special assignments and projects as requested by Work in conjunction with other departments within the credit union to support each other's needs and the needs of GCU members and prospective Possess knowledge of and comply with credit union internal policies and procedures and regulatory laws applicable to position. Complete annual regulatory compliance testing as assigned per the terms of internal policy and other internal and offsite training as Represent the credit union in a professional manner through written and verbal communication, attitude, appearance, work area, and thorough knowledge of GCU products and services. Manage the e-Contracting and smartfund process to ensure funding packages are uploaded in a timely manner and Dealer Management Systems are updated accordingly to the deal status. Process flat cancels and funding adjustments on loan accounts. Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications required of the position: Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred Minimum (1) year of experience in a financial institution, finance company or in the automotive industry with auto lending or loan officer experience preferred Working knowledge of consumer lending and underwriting policies and practices and installment loan documentation Familiarity with laws and regulations governing credit union lending Experience with loan underwriting/origination systems a plus Knowledge Basic loan knowledge including credit reporting Working knowledge of and adherence to laws and regulations governing credit union lending policies and practices and familiarity with installment loan documentation Must be fluent in English; Bilingual a Thorough knowledge of credit union products and services Proficiency in operating a PC and other standard office equipment with working knowledge of Microsoft products.
