Lyft is looking to hire a qualified and experienced Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting, to its Accounting team. This is a crucial role that will assist in overseeing financial reporting in a fast paced, public company environment. This role will support the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting, and

will work with stakeholders across the organization, to deliver timely internal and external reporting in accordance with US GAAP and SEC regulations.

Responsibilities:

Prepare SEC filings including Form 10-Ks, Form 10-Qs, Form 8-Ks, and other required reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with SEC regulations and US GAAP, including preparation of supporting schedules, tie out of financial statements, disclosures and other external releases

Research relevant disclosure requirements and SEC rules, as well as perform benchmarking of peer company disclosures

Prepare and maintain calendar of recurring reporting milestones

Work with external auditors to support the audit process and the related reviews of financial statements including preparation and ongoing support

Collaborate with various departments, including Legal, FP&A, Investor Relations, and Corporate Communications, to gather necessary information for SEC filings

Assist in the preparation of quarterly earnings releases and other financial communications

Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls as it pertains to financial reporting

Assist in various ongoing and ad-hoc projects or initiatives as needed

 Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance and CPA required

4+ years of experience in accounting; 2+ years of Big 4 or other nationally recognized public accounting firm experience required

Experience with financial reporting systems. Workiva experience is preferred.

Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal daily direction from management to accomplish objectives and deadlines

Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail

Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must

Accounting research and problem solving skills required

Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external business partners

Ability to operate independently and as part of a larger functional team

The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $88,000-$110,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
