What You'll Be Serving Up: The Food Innovation Technologist manages and supports 100% activity of KFC R&D Test Kitchens which involves communicating and coordinating needs for various projects and events scheduled routinely or determined by business needs. Schedule resource to support FIT R&D testing needs, MKT social media, internal PR and offsite activations. Here's How You'll Spice Things Up: Administrative Responsibilities: (50%)

Manages KFC restaurant in RSC - requires owning cross functional calendar reservations (PR, Ops, FIT, Development, Training, etc.) and coordinates with Event Organizer to ensure proper product and equipment needs are met. Responsible for tracking inventory and placing bi-weekly McLane orders for maintaining general stocked products needed by FIT developers for product testing and demos. Responsible for contacting suppliers needed for general stock product. i.e. McCormick for spice shelf refresh Responsible for identifying areas of needed maintenance and submittal of work orders as needed for R&D Test Kitchens. Tracks and submits KY Harvest donations of leftover product inventory by coordinating pickups as needed. Supports oversight of Unifirst negotiated contract for laundry (aprons, lab coats and towels). Includes annual pricing, weekly invoice coding, correct weekly inventory quantities. Schedule and oversee annual Pressure Fryer Safety Certifications. Schedule and oversee bi-annual Equipment Calibrations. Demonstrates understanding and supports needs for FIT R&D testing, KFC Global testing initiatives and Supplier product demos by communicating needs, ensuring equipment and product is set accordingly. Supports planning and execution of marketing initiatives that require FIT resource for hands on product preparation and expedite style execution.

Kitchen Responsibilities: (50%)

Responsible for managing cleanliness and SOP's of KFC R&D Test Kitchens. Primary resource to execute BOH execution for product demos: Culinary Supplier Presentations, FIT WIP's, Creative Kitchen, NCAC, Media Immersions, etc. Supports product development testing and evaluations Implement food safety, standard library procedures and product quality protocols execution in KFC test kitchens. Supports and executes in house sensory and consumer testing by following procedural protocols and proper documentation. Assists in product evaluations and quality checks.

Travel as needed to support Brand Initiatives. What You Bring to the Table: Education/Certifications: High School Diploma or some college with commensurate job-related experience Experience: Minimum of 1-3 experience in food industry and fast paced kitchen environments Flexibility and resilience with the ability to deal with ambiguity and embracing change while respecting the value of tradition.
