We are seeking a supply chain manager to deliver the best operating, lowest cost infrastructure in the world. In this role, you will plan, coordinate and manage allocations of infrastructure components across multiple manufacturers and suppliers. In this role, you will: Perform forecasting, demand analysis, material/inventory management, and manage supply buffers Understand manufacturing processes to verify supply commitments and reduce cycle times Work with component suppliers and server manufacturers to analyze, reconcile allocation and monitor changes and cancellations Participate in requirements gathering Understand the supply chain network and work with various analytics and software development teams, driving automation Develop analytical tools and dashboards to track metrics, monitor SLAs, and report findings Produce written recommendations and insights to inform key stakeholders of supply chain health and help shape solution design Key job responsibilities Forecast generation and demand planning Allocations of AWS material from inventory hubs to suppliers Requirement and Specification reviews with Hardware Engineering Ocean, air, and ground transportation planning Supply heatmap generation Basic Qualifications Bachelor's or an advanced degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field. 6+ years of work experience in supply chain, planning, procurement, manufacturing or 4+ years with an advanced degree. 3+ years of experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, etc. 2+ years of experience in program, project, or product management, or leading an implementation of a product. Preferred Qualifications MBA or advanced degree in engineering, supply chain or other quantitative disciplines. Experience in data centers, an infrastructure service provider or similar technology company. Global Supply Chain Experience Fluent in multiple languages preferred 10+ years of relevant supply chain experience Understanding of the implications of different operational choices to guide teams and leadership to best solutions for the organization Analytical skills with a high degree of proficiency in data mining. Able to model supply chain strategies to define cost and performance impacts, trade-offs, and risks Ability to think big and drive innovation throughout the supply chain Must be analytical and have a passion for diving deep Effectively communicate relevant information at all levels of the organization Leadership and coaching skills Experience creating an innovative global supply strategy for the organization resulting in a tangible benefit to the business Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
