Service Consultant
The Service Consultant is responsible for providing the main contact point for new electric and gas service requests for industrial, commercial, and residential customers. Job Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise in the interpretation of electric and gas requirements, which result in the design and installation of utility infrastructure. Manage numerous customer projects of a technical nature, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Work through key internal stakeholders to provide superior customer service and delivery of timely information to customers. Probe customers to identify sales opportunities and strategic business intelligence formation. Administer gas and electric tariffs, as well as company policies and procedures. Track and administer all Smart Growth agreements. Manage numerous municipal, industrial, commercial, and residential customer projects of a technical nature that ensures overall customer satisfaction and efficient use of company facilities. Identify, negotiate, and resolve associated installation and/or billing issues. Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls. Job Specific Qualifications: Required: High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years related customer contact or technical experience. General knowledge of electric and gas tariffs. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Prior experience in managing customer relationships. Familiarity with SAP platforms. Working knowledge of CCS-CRM (customer system). A valid Driver's License.
