Job DescriptionNestled on the Central California Coast, Adventist Health Sierra Vista has been providing care to our community since 1959. Our 162-bed acute care facility includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and county designated trauma center. Provides individualized care plan for patient presentation. Acts as a clinical resource for students, those being oriented and volunteers. This position is represented by SEIU.Job Requirements:Education and Work Experience: High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification: Required Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required Essential Functions: Provides individualized care plan for patient presentation within the EMT scope of practice. Collects, records and communicates basic patient data, current and changing status as needed. Cleans, inspects, assembles and sterilizes trays and equipment in accordance with established departmental procedures. Takes immediate and appropriate action upon occurrence of emergency situation within job description and policies. Participates in continuing/advanced education which demonstrates employee commitment to improving capabilities. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
