Summary: The Quality and Food Safety Manager is responsible for managing the site quality and food safety program for our Ashburn, GA peanut processing facility. This position reports to the Plant Manager with a dotted line reporting to Regional Quality and Food Safety Manager. Essential Job Functions: Provides leadership, support, and guidance to ensure that Food Safety/Quality requirements are met. Manages, plans, implements, and continuously improves the Food Safety/Quality divisional programs. Enforces Quality goals and KPIs, Food Safety/Quality, maintains Food Safety plan, and supports Operations for continuous improvement. Ensures the processes and systems are adequate to implement, achieve, and maintain 3rd party certifications (BRC) and FDA compliance (21 CFR 507 and/or 21 CFR 117). Oversees usage of and provides support for information technology systems. Manages the Food Safety/Quality Team. Conducts quality and food safety training for all colleagues onsite. Maintains the quality control, sizing, and sorting equipment. Works and communicates with the Regional QFS Manager (dotted line reporting), Plant Manager, and Superintendent on any quality problems, or issues that arise. Excellent communication, problem solving, and good decision making skills are required. The ability to provide motivation to direct reports, and demonstrate leadership qualities to all plant personnel is needed. Preferred Qualifications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must. Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization, including senior management, customers, and regulatory officials as needed. Must demonstrate a high-level of problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis. Previous experience with third party or regulatory audits and inspections. Able to work unsupervised and manage independently/flexible schedule occasionally. Able to climb and work in elevated work areas. Relocation Assistance is available for this position. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors. The pay range for this position is expected to be between: $70,400.00 - $131,600.00. The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus.
