Formulation Technician
As a Formulation Technician I, you will be responsible for performing operations related to the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products through equipment set-up, operation, clean up, and maintenance in compliance with all regulatory cGMP requirements and company policies and procedures. Responsibilities
Learn and perform manufacturing and packaging processes as assigned by following approved batch records, work instructions, and standard operating procedures. Set up, changeover, program, and operate various manufacturing and packaging equipment including mixers, extruders, welders, dryers, and pouch sealers. Clean facilities, equipment, and utensils as required, following SOPs and work instructions. Complete documentation as required during the manufacturing and packaging process. Maintain work areas and perform job functions safely and efficiently in accordance with policies, procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Batch Record instructions. Prepare manufacturing areas and equipment for the production of pharmaceutical products. Safely operate various types of computer-controlled equipment used in dispensing, granulation, compression, or coating. Clean and reassemble equipment using basic hand tools. Assist with troubleshooting equipment and process issues. Maintain accurate, neat, error-free records such as batch records and logbooks. Accurately follow production documents, standard operating procedures, and current good manufacturing practices. Identify safety, quality, and efficiency improvements and actively participate in organizational development. Perform duties in other work areas as required. Essential Skills
High School Diploma required. 1 year of previous experience in a manufacturing environment within pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food processing industries strongly preferred. Effective written and oral communication skills. Ability to follow cGMP and other regulatory requirements. Ability to maintain compliance in all SOP, cGMP, EHS, and other training curriculum as assigned. Proficient in operating and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment. Mechanical proficiency with the ability to disassemble and reassemble various types of equipment. Basic reading comprehension and math skills necessary to follow technical instructions and complete BPR calculations. Interpersonal skills and ability to work both individually and as part of a team. The work environment is a pharmaceutical manufacturing climate-controlled facility. Shift is Monday to Wednesday, 6 pm to 6:30 am. Physical requirements include the ability to handle drums weighing up to 200 lbs and lift containers weighing up to 90 lbs. Job requires wearing personal protective equipment, including white zone gowning requirements and various styles of respirators (1/2 face, 3-M hood, full face, and dust mask). Ability to operate a stand-up forklift and walkie stacker is required. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, Ohio. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.10 - $23.10/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
