Operations Team Member
Join a dedicated tier 1 supplier that specializes in the processing and storage of various types of steel. You will play a crucial role in developing, coordinating, and managing all operational functions in the Operations Department, ensuring the continuous improvement of safety, quality, productivity, and financial performance. Responsibilities
Monitor safety, quality, and productivity of Blanking/Slitting/Warehouse operations. Establish and maintain work instructions, process procedures, and standards for Operations functions. Provide leadership for the continuous improvement program (kaizen). Interface between the Operations department and other departments. Proactively handle emails from internal departments and outside customers. Monitor and direct all problem-solving and improvement activities. Assist in preparing processing targets, objectives, and budgets. Analyze actual performance in relation to submitted objectives and targets. Purchase and control supplies for Warehouse/Slitter/Blanker Operations. Solve problems and develop cost-saving solutions. Train, review, and discipline employees in the Operations departments. Educate team members as necessary. Prepare monthly reports. Essential Skills

Work in a very clean and climate-controlled warehouse, maintaining approximately 70 degrees year-round. Expect moderate noise levels and proximity to moving mechanical parts, requiring proper safety equipment. The position currently requires flexibility for shift coverage, including mandatory overtime and weekend shifts. Shifts available are: 2nd Shift starting at 6 PM CST with over 8 hours per day and weekend work mandatory, and 1st Shift. Flexibility to cover other shifts as needed is essential. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of PRINCETON, Indiana. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $18.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
