Fitter - Paying up to $28/hr!

As a Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting miscellaneous steel components according to technical drawings and blueprints, ensuring that they meet design specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities

Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes. Weld steel members. Move steel members into positions manually or with hoists or cranes. Position, align, fit, and track weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications, using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools. Determine appropriate method and sequence of tasks to fabricate items efficiently. Coach and train lower-level fitters to help them advance in their skill sets. Assist foreman and managers in maintaining consistent workflow and production on the shop floor to ensure timely completion of projects. Ensure all peers are following all safety policies. Conduct thorough quality checks to identify and rectify defects, ensuring that the finished product meets quality standards. Essential Skills

2+ years of experience as a fitter or fitter helper Welding knowledge Additional Skills & Qualifications

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleburne, Texas. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
