We are currently looking to hire a full-time or part-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience, and knowledge of equipment used, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member. Animal Care Center of Pahrump aims to provide owners with sound, honest choices for their pets and to provide our patients with excellent and compassionate medical care. Licensed Veterinary Technician (Required) Must be available to work (3) 10-hour shifts on Saturday-Monday 2+ years of veterinary experience Knowledge of industry tools and equipment Knowledge of common treatments and processes normally found in a veterinary hospital setting Obtaining accurate and thorough medical histories Assisting the doctor and other technical staff with surgeries Blood draws (cephalic and jugular) Placing IV catheters Digital radiology, including positioning. Dentistry (digital x-rays, scaling, polishing) Anesthesia (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique) Laboratory skills such as ear and fecal cytology, HM5, Vetscan, Sedivue Excellent client communication/education Passion for working with animals and their owners *Qualified Veterinary Technicians are eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus!*

Qualifications

Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures Excellent communication and teamwork skills Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred

or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements. A degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program is preferred but not required. Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment What Makes Us Different
