HR Manager
The HR Manager will be part of the leadership team reporting to the CEO. This position will oversee and manage the HR function across several privately held SERVPRO locations (namely, San Diego, CA and Eugene, OR). This role will drive the company culture by serving as the primary subject matter expert in all things related to employees and the employee experience for all franchise locations. Essential Duties
The HR Manager will: Establish trusted partnerships across the franchise by acting as the strategic business partner on all things employee related. Partner with managers across the business on performance management, organizational design, employee engagement, rewards and workforce planning. Coach and advise managers on the full spectrum of employee relations issues across multiple franchise locations. Develop consistent and fair personnel policies that comply with all federal and state regulations and that reflect the organization's core values and culture. Maintain and update the Employee Handbook. Ensure overall organizational compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws. Manages the recruitment process for all branches by fulfilling franchise wide hiring needs. Oversee onboarding and new employee orientation for all new hires. Manage the leave of absence and short-term disability process across the franchise. Manage the relationship and partner with the 3rd party payroll company on all payroll and benefit programs offered across the franchise. Oversee and manage franchise-wide compensation analysis to ensure proper competitiveness and make recommendations for necessary changes. Develop safety programs and policies that comply with all federal (e.g. OSHA), state and local regulations. Submit and track all Worker's Compensation claims and related compliance requirements. Maintain and update the organization's Safety Manual. Partner with managers to support the delivery of appropriate training and development programs. Other related duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements
The HR Manager should have: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Minimum of 5 years as HR Generalist/HR Business Partner. PHR/SPHR Certification preferred but not required. Excellent relationship building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related HRIS software. Ability to travel quarterly.
