Job Description

Lead project efforts to gain FAA approval on precision aerospace components Reverse engineer OEM parts using advanced metrology, CAD, and analysis tools Conduct material evaluations and structural analysis to support airworthiness substantiation Author technical data packages including drawings, test plans, and substantiation reports Oversee supplier qualification and manage vendor technical deliverables Support manufacturing process development, hardware conformity, and first article inspections Provide technical guidance across design, quality, and production teams Assist in new product introduction and customer evaluation support Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, engineering best practices, and quality standards MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering (M.S. preferred) 5+ years of experience in aerospace component design or project engineering Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as investment casting, machining, and coatings Familiarity with aerospace materials, GD&T (ANSI Y14.5M), and FAA FAR regulations Experience with FEA tools and 3D modeling (SolidWorks preferred) Understanding of CMM/PCDMIS and dimensional inspection a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills What's on Offer
