Location: Squirrel Hill/Allison Park, PA Employment Type: Full-Time Pay Rate & Type: $25.73/hr (LPN $27.73/hr) Offering up to a $2,000 new hire bonus! The Community Living Specialist is responsible for supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position works with assigned staff to support individuals' outcomes and ensures compliance with regulatory, internal, and external policies. The specialist assists in charting a course that supports each person in realizing their life of personal significance, in collaboration with their family and other team members. Through our partnership with the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP), you will: Enroll in the Front Line Supervisor (FLS) certification program Receive a pay rate increase ($1/hr) and one-time bonus upon completion Key Responsibilities
Coordinates and contributes to the development of plans mandated by regulations, ensuring implementation and adherence to each person's person-centered plan and current ISP. Revises the ISP to reflect the goals and outcomes chosen by the individual. Ensures the accuracy of ISP contents and coordinates the completion of assessments as requested by external partners. Respects each person's right to make choices and exercise self-determination, supporting their health, safety, and right to risk. Ensures opportunities are provided for each person to explore their interests in the community and form relationships. Maintains ongoing communication with families and supervisors to appropriately support each person. Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university and 1 year of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability. Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and 4 years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability. Effective communication, organizational, interpersonal, and planning skills are essential for success in this role. Satisfactory Act 33 and 34 clearances and FBI as required. Valid license to drive in Pennsylvania and reliable transportation is needed. Why Join Achieva?
