The Opportunity This position works out of our Lake Forest, IL location in the division: Infectious Disease, Abbott Diagnostics. Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments, and informatics systems is often the first step in patient care decision-making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers. Abbott is seeking a strategic and collaborative Senior Manager, Global Market Access to join our Infectious Disease Division. This role plays a critical part in shaping global access strategies for Abbott's innovative point-of-care diagnostics that address high-impact diseases such as respiratory infections, tuberculosis, malaria, STIs, and HIV. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams at the global, regional, and local levelsincluding Market Access, HEOR, Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, R&D, Marketing, and Government Affairsto align strategies and drive timely, sustainable access to Abbott's diagnostic solutions worldwide. What You'll Work On Conducts market research, drives advisory boards / round tables, and engages with external experts to identify stakeholder value drivers and access evidence needs to inform the market access, HEOR, clinical, and medical strategies. Develops and executes the integrated market access strategy for pipeline and in-market products, including the market access landscape / opportunity assessment, core strategies (policy, reimbursement, pricing, etc.), and key global deliverables. Leads cross-functional Value & Access Teams to align on prioritization, market access strategies, key deliverables, and responsibilities. Performs evidence gap analyses and develops mitigation plans for priority markets and products. Creates and delivers compelling global value communication tools (e.g., value propositions, value stories, playbooks) to support regional and local market access teams. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. 10+ years of experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics, or healthcare consulting. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Demonstrated agility, problem-solving ability, and a results-driven mindset. Ability to translate complex clinical data into impactful access messaging. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of direct experience in Market Access; diagnostics experience. Strong understanding of global market access stakeholders, including payers and policymakers. Proven ability to work across cultures and geographies in a matrixed environment. MBA or advanced degree. The base pay for this position is $127,300.00
