Middle School ICT Teacher Role
Launch EL Charter School is part of a network of 14 EL Education (formerly Expeditionary Learning) and NYC Outward Bound schools in New York City and is the NYC network's first charter school. Launch prepares students in under-resourced communities to thrive in college and careers by providing a public education rooted in active learning and powerful character development. About the Role
Launch is seeking an ICT Teacher (special educator) who will co-teach in inclusive classrooms to support students with and without disabilities. The ideal candidate will bring a deep belief in equity, collaboration, differentiation, and inclusive instructional practices in math. Key Responsibilities
Co-teach 4 class sections per day using a co-teaching model that supports all learners. Collaborate closely with a general education teacher to plan and implement rigorous, engaging, and differentiated lessons aligned to the Common Core and EL Education model. Ensure students with IEPs have access to high-quality instruction, receive accommodations and modifications, and show growth toward grade-level standards. Track academic progress and behavior data for students with IEPs and contribute to progress reports. Maintain all IEP compliance responsibilities, including attending meetings, communicating with families, and documenting services. Use Launch's Habits of Heart and Mind to model, teach, and support students' character development. Participate in regular department meetings, data analysis, and professional development. Support schoolwide culture in common spaces and during assigned duties. Candidate Traits

Valid NYS Teaching Certification in Students with Disabilities Grades 59 or Grades 712 (Preferred) Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred Knowledge of special education law, IEP compliance, and inclusive practices Experience in urban public or charter school settings preferred Compensation
