This position is for a Hardscape Foreman working in Plymouth, MA. The Hardscape Foreman is responsible for leading and executing high-quality hardscape installations on residential and commercial properties. This role involves hands-on supervision of daily field operations, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to specification. The Foreman serves as the on-site leader, working closely with crew members, project managers, and clients to deliver exceptional results. Objectives

Execute and manage hardscape installations, including patios, retaining walls, walkways, outdoor living spaces, and driveways. Ensure all hardscape work is completed on time and in line with project plans and design specifications. Supervise and support crew members daily, promoting productivity, safety, and skill development. Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout all phases of the installation process. Coordinate with project managers and clients to ensure expectations are met and communicated effectively. Monitor and manage material use, minimizing waste and ensuring adequate inventory on site. Operate and oversee the safe use of machinery and specialized tools related to hardscaping. Identify and resolve issues proactively to prevent project delays or budget overruns. Enforce site safety protocols and compliance with company standards and OSHA regulations. Keep accurate daily records of labor, material usage, equipment operation, and job progress. Competencies

Proven expertise in the installation of hardscapes including pavers, natural stone, concrete, and segmental retaining walls. Strong leadership and crew management skills in a field setting. Effective communication abilities to interact with clients, team members, and supervisors. Thorough knowledge of grades, site layout, drainage systems, and base preparation. Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and adjust plans in the field. Time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and maintain efficiency. Commitment to quality craftsmanship and exceeding client expectations. Knowledge of safe operation and maintenance of hand and power tools, skid steers, and other landscape equipment. Ability to read and interpret construction documents, blueprints, and site plans. Capacity to build a positive, motivated team environment on-site. Education and Experience

Proven experience as a hardscape foreman, lead installer, or similar field leadership role in the landscape industry. Strong knowledge of hardscape construction practices, materials, and equipment. Prior experience leading and managing installation crews. Excellent organizational and field management skills. Proficiency in reading blueprints and executing plans to spec. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites. Physical Requirements

Ability to walk, stand, and work on uneven terrain for extended periods. Capable of lifting and carrying materials or equipment weighing up to 75 pounds. Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching while performing hardscape work. Strong hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity to operate tools and machinery. Visual acuity to assess layout accuracy, stone cuts, and finished detail. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
