AECOM is seeking a Sr. Civil Engineering Manager / Project Manager - Transit-Rail position in the Phoenix, AZ office. This is a key position and will report to the US West Region Transit/Rail Engineering Department. The position includes responsibility for business development, management of transit studies, preliminary design and final design of transit infrastructure projects including BRT, LRT, Streetcar, Commuter Rail, Heavy Rail, and High-Speed Rail throughout the western United States. Clients can include Colorado Department of Transportation, City and County of Denver, DART, LA Metro, BART, Caltrans, San Diego MTS, UTA, RTD and more. The successful candidate may be asked to serve as an AECOM team and/or discipline lead, project manager and/or technical task leader on selected projects and will coordinate, cooperate, and work collaboratively with others in the AECOM US West Region. Minimum requirements include a BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Preferred qualifications include 10+ years of relevant experience, PE license in one or more states in the western US or ability to obtain, experience with business development and client relations, experience designing transit and transportation infrastructure, experience with design software including MicroStation and GEOPAK and/or OpenRoads, demonstrate leadership skills and communication skills requiring client interaction, ability to work with various multi-disciplined teams is essential to this role, provide in-depth Quality Control and Quality Assurance for design/project management/program management, and familiar with MS Office.
