Warehouse Specialist Lead (AMMO)

Working at the Fort Bragg Ammunition Supply Point (ASP), the Warehouse Specialist Lead (AMMO) performs a variety of duties which include reporting to the Supervisor/Manager, providing technical and process expertise, responsible for task area guidance and mentorship, ensuring workload distribution, identifying issues and/or concerns within the team's workflow to the Supervisor, assisting in problem-solving, developing best practices and improvements, verifying materials or merchandise against receiving documents; receives, stores, stacks, or palletizes, unpalletized materials, conducts warehousing operations, prepares, and updates storage plans, removes material from storage and prepares it for shipping, works alongside with the Warehouse Specialist-CDL and Shipping and Receiving Clerk (Ammo). Maintains a positive physical security posture of all assigned storage locations/work areas. Major Job Activities: Directly responsible for assigning and monitoring the daily task and workload Provides guidance mentorship and support to the team on daily operations Provides technical expertise in all aspects of ammunition such as but not limited to, warehousing, storage compatibility, ammunition safety, accountability, etc. Assists in receiving, storing, and issuing ammunition Assists in the unloading commercial carriers and uploading commercial carries Verifies material and against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages Assists in delivering materials to prescribed storage locations Performs checks to ensure ammunition is properly stored, stacked, or palletized in accordance with prescribed storage methods Assists in conducting warehousing operations Ensures all assigned storage locations/work areas are locked and IDS system activated at the end of the business day Assists in removing material from storage and prepares it for shipment Assists in conducting inventories through physical count and records item count on inventory documents May operate hand or power trucks in performance of warehousing duties Assists in the delivery of rapid deployment ammunition during Global Response Force (GRF) exercises Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements Performs other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives Working Environment: Work will typically be in an outdoor environment There may be times when an employee is exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions Must be willing to work additional hours when mission requires This position requires flexibility in work hours due to operational requirements Physical Activities: Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted Must be able to operate in a prolonged standing environment for up to 8 hours a day Must be able to operate in a warehouse and outdoor type environment Must be able to walk on uneven ground and within work various sites at times in the performance of duties Material & Equipment Directly Used: Computers, Fax machine, Copier, Printer and Phones Personal computer systems, Microsoft Office Programs, Microsoft SharePoint, and any other pertinent software and general office equipment Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment, such as Face Mask, eyes, hand, head, and approved safety footwear Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Banding equipment and related items Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Must be able to pass both federal and local background check to have unaccompanied access to arms, ammunition and explosives Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test Basic Ammunition Certifications (Ammo-45,64, 68, 75, 76) preferred or must be able to obtain within 3 months of employment date Forklift license experience required; current license preferred HAZMAT with Ammo certification preferred Must have a valid REAL ID State Driver's License with no restrictions Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI Tier 1 Public Trust Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as a birth certificate or a U.S. Passport Must be able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Bragg Installation Skills: Three years' experience on supply operations warehouse level Experience working in an Ammunition Supply Point (ASP) preferred Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) Possess high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism Ability to work independently or in a team-based, highly collaborative environment Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to interact at all levels At V2X, we are deeply committed to both equal employment opportunity, including protection for Veterans and individuals with disabilities, and fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
