Our vibrant, CARF International accredited community nurtures every aspect of our resident's well-being.Full-Time- 36-40 hours a week+ SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL for weekends and nights!!!Ginger Cove is currently seeking aFull-Time Geriatric Nursing Assistants(Day Shift 6:45AM-3:15PM or Evening Shift: 2:45PM-11:15PM; Schedule includes alternating weekends) to support our Health Center. The Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) is responsible for deliverance of quality clinical care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Follow all HIPAA rules and regulations.Provide bathing, oral care, grooming, clothing, and other personal hygiene services for the residents.Responsible for making beds in assigned resident rooms.Assist with elimination including enemas, daily catheter care, intake and output documentation.Care for incontinent residents.Obtain vital signs on assigned residents.Provide nourishment, fluids and feeding as assigned.Answer call lights in a prompt and timely manner.Assist in ambulatory and transferring efforts for assigned residents.Collect specimens as assigned.Demonstrate proper infection control practices.Maintain cleanliness of resident closet area, drawers and bathrooms.Provide routine cleaning of thermometers and utensils.Report observations and symptoms indicating a change in resident's condition.Receive report from Charge Nurse and prior GNA at change of shift.Attend in-service training and staff meetings.Perform other duties as assigned.Job QualificationsJOB QUALIFICATIONS:Current license as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant in the state of Maryland.CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain prior to employment.At least one year of clinical experience in a home health agency and/ or related community health program.Experience caring for residents with Alzheimer's and/ or dementia.Knowledge and experience working with senior communities.Must present self in a professional manner, display genuine concern for elderly and be tactful in dealing with others.Computer literacy.Must have completed or be willing to complete educational requirements imposed by State regulations within the specified timeframe.BENEFIT, BONUS AND INCENTIVE PROGRAMSThe Ginger Cove community offers you the opportunity to be part of a winning team with many benefits:Full, comprehensive health care plan (medical, dental & vision)Ancillary benefit optionsGenerous retirement plan with matching contributionsAccrual-based, paid-leave programScholarship programAnnual bonus opportunityReferral bonus programEmployee recognition incentivesWe value staff excellence, resident independence, and business integrity.If you share our passion for customer service excellence in a friendly, mutually caringworkplace, you are invited to submit your application and resume for consideration.Ginger Cove is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing equal employment opportunities without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other classification protected by applicable law.
