CNC Lathe Machinist
A CNC Lathe Machinist is needed for a machine shop in Santa Ana, CA. During the training period, the schedule is Monday - Friday, 4 am - 12:30 pm. After training, the schedule shifts to Monday - Thursday, 11 am - 9:30 pm. Responsibilities
Setup and operate multiple machines in a safe and productive manner consistent with procedures and guidelines. Assist others in the operation of various machines during setups to maintain workflow and efficiency. Read and interpret blueprints accurately. Remove, replace, or sharpen any related tools or blades, and make necessary adjustments. Use measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to maintain and document quality requirements. Select and load appropriate materials/parts into machines or feeding devices as prescribed by routing package. Perform all essential job duties with thorough knowledge of machine operation and machining practices. Operate or be trained to operate any material handling equipment. Perform running maintenance as required. Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition. Perform all related duties as assigned by the supervisor. Demonstrate basic math skills including subtracting, multiplying, dividing in all units of measure, and working with rate, ratio, and percent calculations. Essential Skills
Experience with CNC machining, especially CNC lathe setup and operation. Proficiency in blueprint reading. Experience with inspection of parts using measuring tools like calipers and micrometers. Strong ability to perform basic math skills involving fractions, decimals, and graphs. Additional Skills & Qualifications
