The Water Damage Technician will assist team members by providing skilled & unskilled labor while learning the techniques or receiving training required while performing professional mitigation & disaster response services for 1-800 Water Damage of Greater Indianapolis. This involves demolition of construction materials, cleaning of worksite, set-up and take-down of equipment, and maintenance. Career advancement includes becoming a project manager or estimator. Responsibilities
Perform unskilled & skilled labor as assigned. Show up on time for shifts, in proper uniform & well-groomed. Be available for on-call & emergencies. Learn & practice commitment to customer service. Fill out paperwork properly; (Timesheets, PO Forms, Field Check-list). Perform as needed demo, moisture mapping, equipment set up, monitoring loss & document readings. Must be able to exercise good judgment as well as understand & carry out written or oral instructions, along with sound problem-solving ability. Work toward or be IICRC certification so when obtained to perform structural drying techniques to clients homes and businesses. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED. Must maintain a valid Drivers License & maintain a good driving record Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel
reach with hands & arms and talk or hear. Must be able to regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. No prior experience necessary, but encouraged
