As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at an educational location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the campus, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will be a reliable presence, ready to respond to situations as they arise and communicate clearly with all members of the campus community. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities. Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols. Assist with access control and visitor management as required by site-specific procedures. Collaborate with campus personnel and local authorities as needed during incidents and/or emergencies. Remain alert and observant while on patrol to identify and address potential security-related concerns within the educational environment. What We're Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
