Fire Alarm Low Voltage Technician
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Low Voltage Electrician to join our fire alarm systems team as a technician. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of low voltage electrical systems, with a primary focus on fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial settings. Responsibilities include: Install, test, and maintain fire alarm systems and other low voltage systems such as security and access control. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Pull, terminate, and label low voltage wiring and cabling. Program and configure fire alarm control panels and related devices. Perform inspections to ensure systems adhere to local codes. Troubleshoot and repair system faults and malfunctions. Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades on job sites. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients. Essential skills include: Minimum 5 years of experience in low voltage electrical work, preferably in fire alarm systems. Working knowledge of electrical codes. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass background check and drug screening. Ability to provide own tools. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Additional skills and qualifications include: Specific industry training will assist with higher pay rate. Experience working with electrical diagnostics and repair, pulling wire, and installation.
