We're looking for a mid-level and collaborative Wastewater Engineer who will support our Florida/Puerto Rico Water Market team to support the delivery of high-profile projects with key municipal clients in Florida and Puerto Rico. As a key member of our team, you'll have the chance to work on challenging projects as the project engineer for wastewater treatment projects
planning and delivering many aspects of project delivery with a high degree of technical complexity from the concept stage through detailed design, construction services, and commissioning. As a Wastewater Engineer, you will need to learn the Jacobs organization and processes, develop and maintain consistent internal and external relationships at multiple organizational levels, and work to make Jacobs the consultant-of-choice for our clients. Here's what you will be doing Become a key member of delivery teams through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other specified requirements stated in the contract. You will have direct access to Jacobs' well-known, vast network of technical specialists to support your success and career advancement. Work with Project Managers to develop the most suitable solutions for our clients' most challenging issues. Be accountable for successfully completing tasks to the satisfaction of clients and key stakeholders, while simultaneously ensuring that Jacobs' business and policy expectations are met in the areas of health and safety, quality, financial, project delivery, and risk management. Play a role in business development activities that support the award of new wastewater contracts. This typically includes making and maintaining client relationships, working with your team on project-specific positioning activities, proposal preparation, and oral presentations. Contribute to the execution of the Miami Area Market Strategy that delivers leading-edge technology solutions for our clients while also seeking to diversify and expand our client base. Mentor and be mentored. Find mentors across the enterprise and support junior staff in the local and regional water group. Our Miami Water Group is growing! Here's what you'll need PhD or master's degree in environmental engineering or related engineering discipline. Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible experience. Ability to earn a Professional Engineer (PE) license. Understanding of industry standard tools and metrics associated with wastewater, and a proven history of delivering projects to successfully meet client expectations. Good oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis and technical problem-solving, and a strong organizational approach. Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and leading diverse teams. Ideally, you will also have Languages: Spanish and English. The base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $120,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
