The Dryer Vent Technician - Helper
The Dryer Vent Technician - Helper will assist the technician with the duties listed below. This is a position where the HELPER will have the opportunity to grow into a Dryer Vent Technician position, while learning on the job. There may be times where the technician is not available to complete a particular job request and the HELPER will be asked to start or to complete the job on their own. (Example: an AM job is taking longer than expected and the technician may be late to their next appointment. The HELPER will be sent ahead to the next appointment to begin the inspection, in order to meet the set appointment time and provide a "best in class" experience for the client.) What We Do: Inspect dryer vent systems from the inside of the dryer all the way to the outside of the building for residential homes, apartments and commercial buildings Provide quotes clean the vent and/or to repair it to meet building code Complete the necessary cleaning and/or repairs. Install dryer vent systems in new buildings (residential and commercial) Our Expectations: We will not accept tardiness, excuses, or drama. We expect the best and reward you for your effort. You will be paid on time and treated with the utmost respect. Responsibilities: Present yourself in a professional manner at all times to uphold company image Provide the customer with complete, accurate and legible inspection results Offer additional applicable products/services based on the inspection results Clearly define and describe the features and benefits of products/services offered Professionally service customer's dryer vent system as indicated by inspection results Review invoice and be available to answer any questions and provide thorough responses Qualifications: Experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, construction, carpentry, or handyman work Experience and strong comfort level working with tools Ability to climb and handle ladders up to 20 feet in height and work on rooftops Ability to work within constricted spaces such as attics, crawlspace, or closets Ability to work outdoors in high/low temperatures as needed Ability to work independently and problem solve Ability to work required business hours and weekends when necessary Ability to effectively communicate with customers, management, and team members MUST PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK, DRUG SCREEN, AND HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENCE Ability to travel for on the job training may be required (expenses covered by the company) Our Ideal Candidate: Off duty police, fire, EMS or other safety related fields Those with experience in construction, HVAC, or plumbing/electrical installation If you enjoy a sense of accomplishment from hard work and take pride in doing a job that no one else could, then we would love for you to join our team!
