Cloud Associate
Solidus is seeking a highly accomplished and results-oriented Cloud Associate with expertise in AWS/Azure/GCP. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions. This role requires a strong cloud background and skills to troubleshoot complex issues across our cloud infrastructure. The Cloud Associate will drive innovation, accelerate our cloud adoption initiatives, and ensure best practices in cloud architecture, automation, and security. Day in the Life: Utilize subject matter area expertise gained through direct industry experience to provide technical, managerial, and administrative direction for problem definition, analysis, requirements development and implementation for complex to extremely complex cloud environments Guides the determination of IT, engineering, and business process inadequacies and deficiencies that affect the functional area's ability to support/meet organizational goals Participates in strategy sessions, strategic assessments, and design reviews to validate enterprise approach and associated work products Provides guidance and coordinate resolution of highly complex problems and tasks Makes recommendations and advise on organization-wide system improvements, optimization or maintenance efforts. Recognized for strong expertise in industry issues and trends Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, collaborating with teams, and documenting processes and architectures Requirement/Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 4 years of relevant experience, or Associate degree with 6 years relevant experience, or 8 years relevant experience US citizenship Active Secret clearance Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), including its services, architecture, and deployment models Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, IP addresses, and potentially network virtualization or software-defined networking Knowledge of cloud security principles, implementing security measures, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards Experience with tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployments Understanding DevOps principles and practices, including CI/CD pipelines and methodologies, to streamline cloud solution development and management Ability to analyze complex issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions in cloud environments Familiarity with various data storage options (object storage, block storage, relational, NoSQL), and data management practices in the cloud Benefit selection, customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies, certifications, and clearance status will influence the final salary.
