FTE: 100% Work Shift: Days Pay Range: $136,718.40 - $223,059.20 Union: No Weekend & Holiday Shifts: No On Call Shifts: No Job Description: The Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO), under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, is primarily responsible for providing clinical oversight and direction for the Division of Nursing at Olympic Medical Center, including all areas where nursing practice occurs, ensuring that nursing resources are deployed with a 24-hour accountability for the provision of safe, high-quality patient care and advocacy, management of hospital personnel and equipment, and management of financial resources. The ACNO assists the CNO in executive-level management of resources, strategic planning and development of policies and procedures which ensure congruence with the mission and vision of the organization. The ACNO has operational and functional responsibility for a group of patient care areas and/or special projects or initiatives. The ACNO will develop communication, knowledge, leadership, professionalism, and business skills necessary to advance to a CNO. The ACNO will work closely with the other members of the senior management team to assist in directing the administration and advancement of patient care services and utilizes emerging trends, issues, technology, and an understanding of the organization's vision, mission, and goals to direct the strategic planning, organization, leadership, service delivery, performance improvement, and evaluation of nursing/clinical standards of performance. Qualifications and Equipment Competencies
Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, or other related field required. Master's degree in nursing preferred (Required to start within 1 year and completed within 3 years of hire). National certification in nursing administration preferred (Required within 2 years of hire). Experience: 5+ years of experience in management and supervisory nursing role required. Most recent 3 of the last 5 years of leadership must have been in a direct leadership role in a hospital setting or direct patient care environment required or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Licensure/Credentials: Current Washington State RN license required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
