Eon Job Opportunity
At Eon, we are at the forefront of large-scale neuroscientific connectomic data collection. Our mission is to enable the safe and scalable development of brain emulation technology to empower humanity over the next decade, beginning with the creation of a fully emulated digital twin of a mouse within the next two years. Role
Collaborating with a diverse team, including product managers, researchers, and engineering departments, your role involves the handling of animals (mostly mice) and preparing tissue for researchers to process and image. You will need to contribute to a pipeline that properly acquires, fixes, and slices tissues. Responsibilities
Administer anesthesia to animals and perform transcardial perfusions.
Slice tissue with minimal damage.
Optimize fixation conditions of tissue.
Inject viral labeling reagents.
Manage mouse colonies.
Skills and Qualifications
Extensive experience with tissue sectioning and preservation.
Familiarity with tissue processing techniques such as clearing and expansion, as well as tissue staining approaches.
Fundamental understanding of fixation chemistry
Fundamental understanding of fluorescence microscopy
Ability to perform surgeries and injections.
