Robot Local Teleoperation Operator
As a Robot Local Teleoperation Operator, you will be responsible for controlling robots on-site using a range of human-machine interfaces (HMI), including but not limited to VR headsets, handheld controllers, joysticks, and foot pedals. You will execute precise robotic movements as part of live demonstrations, field testing, or deployment tasks. This role is hands-on and critical to bridging physical hardware and interactive control. Operate robotic systems in real-time using local teleoperation tools (e.g., VR headsets, joysticks, custom HMI devices) Follow structured procedures to carry out robotic motions, tasks, or test scenarios Coordinate with engineers and data specialists during operation sessions Ensure robot safety, control smoothness, and task completion accuracy Provide feedback on control responsiveness and potential UI/UX improvements Perform basic equipment setup, shutdown, and routine checks You're good with your hands and fast with your eyes
whether it's a VR setup, game controller, or industrial joystick, you adapt quickly to new control interfaces. You're detail-oriented, patient, and take pride in smooth, accurate operation. You may come from a background in gaming, mechanical systems, industrial control, or even creative robotics. Experience with any control interface (VR, joystick, haptic device, etc.) Comfortable operating machines or systems with hand-eye coordination No formal degree required, but technical training or robotics exposure is a plus Ability to follow procedures and provide feedback during development cycles Basic understanding of robot motion or kinematics is a plus Fluent in English; bilingual in Mandarin is a plus Must be available for full-time, on-site operations
