Supervisor Global Training
Starkey is hiring a Supervisor of Global Training at its global headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN that is responsible for supporting training initiatives for training staff, production staff, and managers globally. Provides support and development for the Training Team. Provides training for the Manufacturing and Repair Service Teams, ensures new and current technicians are meeting specific requirements and workmanship standards before going online. Supervisor of Global Training Responsibilities: Coach and counsel employees Conduct quarterly conversations and one on ones Manage team PTO requests and absence Ensure all staff are aware of and abide by all corporate and departmental policies and procedures Maintain a positive attitude and keep staff morale, teamwork and motivation high Time management practices in order to ensure tasks are completed Perform product and process audits of hearing aids Train new and current employees on specific job functions. (flex functions) Support manufacturing Work on-line when needed Assist in documentation updates Strive for continuous product improvement Stay abreast of new and upcoming products and standards. Maintain hands-on involvement in all tasks within the department Accumulate and analyze data regarding customer care accounts and rework. Analyze Customer Request and provide solutions to satisfy customers. Communicate errors to the production line and ensure they are sustained. Communicate with Global Mfg. partner (Matamoras) on custom orders Quality standards and turnaround times Perform product and process audits of hearing aids Share quality issues. Approve and update manufacturing on documents such as Job Method changes, New Product Release, and Procedures. Seek out and communicate information to all the necessary individuals. Attend QDIP meetings Provide support to the resources involved in Product Quality and process Perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned Minimum Education, Certification and Experience Requirements Education 2-year college degree Experience 5 years' work experience within Starkey Training Group Knowledge / Technical Requirements Knowledge of TQM desired
Knowledge of TWI Must be Knowledgeable in all aspects of production Competencies, Skills & Abilities Excellent communication skills required. Excellent organizational skills required. Good hand-eye co-ordination required. Ability to write, read and understand English is required. Working Conditions Safety glasses must be worn when using machinery such as: Drill, buffing machine, Surfacing machine. ESD Grounding wrist straps must be used when working with ESD sensitive devices. May have noise and dust in work area. In contact with hazardous chemicals. Sitting 50% of workday. May be subject to moderate travel. Approximately 20% of the time. Communication with International Facilities in outside of normal working hours Regular attendance and responsiveness to reasonable job-related directives given by the supervisor Equipment Operation Drill, buffing machine, Air hose, Soldering Iron, Microscope, Scalpel, Razor blade, Tweezers, Wire cutter, Miniature screwdriver, Needle nose pliers, Syringe, Computers RTA, Design, ESD wrist band, CQ, SOP, MFG suite and inspire systems etc. Salary and Other Compensation: The target rate for this position is between $64,680.00 to $88,200.00/year. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Benefits: The following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements, include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan with company match, company-paid life insurance, short-term disability insurance, long term disability insurance, employee assistance program, hearing aid benefits, paid time off, paid sick time, and paid holidays.
