Navigator Instructor
Location: San Diego Clearance Type: Secret Roles and Responsibilities
Train students in maritime navigation, GPS systems, chart plotting, and tactical maneuvering Assist in mission planning using CONOPS, Warning Orders, and Patrol Orders Lead practical and classroom navigation scenarios to develop precision and safety Evaluate trainee navigation performance during training exercises Maintain and update instructional materials and assessment criteria Qualifications
Active state driver's license Four (4) years of small boat/craft tactical experience in a maritime environment with proficiency in: Maritime Navigation, Tactical Boat Operations, and Military decision-making processes (Begin, Arrange, Make, Complete, Issue, Supervise (BAMCIS); Organizational and individual planning; Tactical Boat Patrol Coordination; Development and issuance of Concept of Operations, Warning Order, Patrol Order, and Mission Debriefing) Qualified Navy Second Class Swimmer or equivalent Line Coach (LC)/Range Safety Officer (RSO) qualifications Record of PQS qualifications in all CORIVFOR weapons and weapon systems U.S. Coast Guard 50 Ton (or higher) Captain License required Must possess one of the following:
NEC 9502/805A Instructor NEC 9518/A12A Professional Development Instructor Completed Journeyman Instructor Training (JIT)
Physically fit to perform maritime instruction in austere environments Proficient in maritime navigation, Microsoft Office tools, and technical schematics Group id: 10474224
