Public Defender's Office, 6th Circuit- Automated Systems Assistant I

The Law Offices of Public Defender Sara Mollo, Sixth Judicial Circuit, is hiring an Automated Systems Assistant I. As a Tier 1 Technician, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance. You will troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for end-users. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for technology and problem-solving. Key responsibilities include: Provide front-line support to customers via phone, email, or chat. Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware and software issues. Assist customers with system setup, configuration, and software installation. Document all customer interactions and technical resolutions in the support ticketing system. Escalate complex issues to higher-level technical teams (Tier 2/Tier 3) as needed. Perform remote troubleshooting and resolve issues through diagnostic tools. Educate customers on product functionality, basic usage, and best practices. Maintain high customer satisfaction through clear communication and prompt resolution. Qualifications include: Strong communication skills (both written and verbal). Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft software applications, and multiple LoB applications. Familiarity with common IT hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, routers). Experience with helpdesk software or ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk) is a plus. Ability to follow troubleshooting procedures and document resolutions accurately. Excellent time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks. Willingness to learn and grow in a technical environment. Prior customer service experience is a plus. Preferred qualifications include: Technical certifications (CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, etc.) are a plus, but not required. Experience with remote support tools (Team Screenshare, Remote Desktop, SCCM, etc.). Knowledge of networking basics (IP addressing, DNS, VPN, etc.).
