Contracts Specialist
This Contracts Specialist position is working in the Maritime Imaging Systems business unit, which is part of the L3 Harris Technologies (IMS) Integrated Mission Systems business Segment. This position is responsible for preparing proposals, assisting with negotiations, and managing contract awards and modifications through contract closeout for contracts which support our US Government and International customers by providing mission critical products and services. Essential Functions: Responsible for RFP and solicitation review and risk assessment, proposal strategy and preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities for assigned contracts and programs. Partnered with L3 Harris Program Management Office, Contracts serves as the primary communication conduit between L3 Harris and our customers. Is responsible for maintaining official contractual records and the contracts repository. Analyzes proposal materials and estimates to ensure accuracy and risk capture Key stakeholder and cross-functional team member that leads the preparation of proposals and obtain appropriate approvals prior to submission to customer Leads customer negotiation process. Ability to negotiate complex contract terms and conditions and Statement of Works with US Government customers, as well as possibly with commercial and international customers. Champions and leads the program contract change management process. Advises business unit leaders and management of contractual rights and obligations. Ability to clearly present information to broad audience, inclusive of higher levels of management, as well as peer associates. Qualifications: Microsoft Office Suite - high level of proficiency Bachelors Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Experience with FAR, DFAR, ITAR, EAR, CAS, WAWF, DIBBS, PIEE, CPAR Experience and success with managing complex contracts of all types (FFP, CPIF, CPFF, FPIF, etc.). Experience in a Customer facing Contracts role to both USG DoD and International customers. Experience in providing business, contractual and risk mitigation strategies to support the needs of the program. Experience in all aspects of the contract life cycle including, contracts administration, proposal preparation and close-out. Preferred Additional Skills: Depth of knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FAR supplements (e.g. DFARS) and other agency regulations. Demonstrated ability to develop customer relationship, provide RFP shaping/analysis and have participated in proposal development and bid strategy. Negotiation experience Demonstrated business acumen/finance experience Demonstrated ability to build relationships Advanced verbal and written communication skills are a must NCMA professional certifications (CPCM, CFCM, etc) are a strong plus In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $77,500 - $144,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
