consider joining us at Neighborhood! As a dental assistant, you'll have an important role in creating a positive experience for patients at Neighborhood. About the Role: You'll take a lead role in welcoming and assisting patients with kindness while collaborating with other dental assistants to ensure efficient patient flow. You'll use your knowledge and attention to detail as you work with x-rays, molds, and preparing lab scripts for dentists. Responsibilities include: Set up and operate dental/medical equipment Take digital radiographs, periapical, bitewing, and panoral x-rays Pour plaster models Set up and break down operatories for each procedure of the day Perform procedures for removal, cleansing, sterilization, and packaging of dental instruments following proper clinical protocols Prepare lab scripts for dentists, package cases, and call dental lab for pick up Maintains patient treatment records per clinic protocols in Electronic Dental Record Hourly Rate: $21.00 per hour based on a full-time, 40 hour work week. Education and Skills to be a Dental Assistant: Successful completion of a dental assisting program or relevant training. At least one year dental assisting experience in a general dentist practice preferred.
