Manufacturing Engineer
You will be a Manufacturing Engineer for our Precision Fires Program Manufacturing Engineering team, supporting the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System Extended Range (GMLRS ER) program in Grand Prairie, TX. Our team is responsible for ensuring the successful production of complex systems, and we're looking for a highly skilled and collaborative individual to join our team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will act as the Production Operations Point of Contact to various suppliers and Lockheed Martin make sites, proactively identifying and working issues ahead of production impact. You will be responsible for evaluating Notification of Change (NOC) documents to determine if a Production Line Validation (PLV) will be required, and leading PLV events at Lockheed Martin and supplier sites. You will also be responsible for supporting GMLRS ER contracts and other Precision Fires programs in an electrical SME capacity, including PWB, CCA, harness, and electromechanical production assemblies. Your responsibilities will include: Acting as the Production Operations Point of Contact to various suppliers and Lockheed Martin make sites Evaluating Notification of Change (NOC) documents to determine if a Production Line Validation (PLV) will be required Leading PLV events at Lockheed Martin and supplier sites Supporting GMLRS ER contracts and other Precision Fires programs in an electrical SME capacity Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Process Engineering, Design Engineering, Quality Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Finance, Production Planning and Control, Contracts, Master Planning, and Program Management Building effective relationships with suppliers, make sites, and other stakeholders to ensure successful production outcomes Providing electrical SME support for PWB, CCA, harness, and electromechanical production assemblies at various make sites and suppliers Acting as a liaison for production to support FRBs and other programs as needed We're looking for a highly skilled and collaborative Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education Ability to interpret drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product/performance specifications and other systems integration technical data Experience in design for manufacturing (DFM) or design to cost (DTC) 5+ years of circuit card assembly (CCA) manufacturing experience Ability to obtain a security clearance Desired Skills: Bachelor's or higher degree in a technical discipline (mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, etc.) PWB, CCA, harness, and electromechanical manufacturing experience Experience in design for manufacturing/assembly or design to cost This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
