Office Assistant, Tier 1

Provide vital support to Campus Enterprises and NC State Dining by providing an excellent dining experience for all guests. Location: Wolfpack One Card Office, Talley Student Union Work Schedule: Shift work; 8-20 hours per week between 8 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday (Some weekends required) Work-Study Eligible Campus Enterprises Expectations: As student employees with Campus Enterprises, we expect you to be professional and present for your shifts. This includes, but is not limited to: Arriving early for shifts Having on a complete uniform Clocking in and clocking out in a timely fashion Cell phones are only used at appropriate times Prioritize the client Finish all duties before taking a break Essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Answer walk-in and phone inquiries regarding One Card accounts, meal plans, All-Campus options, etc. Properly execute daily login, setup, and shutdown procedures of the ID card station(s) Communicate effectively with supervisor(s), customers, and peers Maintain a high level of professionalism and a clean work environment at all times Work on special projects assigned by the Wolfpack One office support staff Remain in compliance with the Wolfpack One Card Operate equipment and troubleshoot for quick repairs and supply replacement Prepare appropriate ID cards that correspond with classification types and departments Perform batch printing for various ID production tasks Ability to operate a Micros cash register Remain in compliance with Wolfpack One Card student employee policies and expectations at all times Essential Qualifications Current NC State University student with a flexible schedule Demonstrate excellent customer service skills Ability to work with a team to serve a diverse population Basic knowledge of the NC State campus and the location of buildings Elevated oral and written communication skills Must attend mandatory staff meetings, student employee orientation, and training sessions Ability to lift to 40 pounds Learn, Grow, and Earn More Gain experience, grow your skills, and get promoted Earn annual raises Connect with other students beyond the classroom Stand out to future employers Build strong relationships with supervisors who can serve as references NC State University is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
